Did you know?
The Women’s Hospital has joined Spirit of Women, a network of more than 120 premier hospitals and health systems throughout the United States dedicated to advancing the cause of women’s health. This exciting program will promote The Women’s Hospital as the regional leader in women’s health education and community outreach.

What is Spirit of Women?
Spirit of Women is a national movement for women’s wellness led by local leading hospitals such as The Women’s Hospital. Spirit of Women is supported by corporate partners and national media with the mission to motivate women to make positive changes in their lives by emphasizing their total well–being — mind, body and spirit.

What are some examples of Spirit of Women Activities?
The Women’s Hospital will be able to choose from a wide variety of Spirit of Women programs including major educational programs with nationally recognized speakers, exciting community wellness events, membership programs, support groups, health fairs and expos, educational materials, travel programs, interactive websites and other creative outreach activities.

Why focus on women?
The Women’s Hospital supports ongoing celebration of women’s health through Spirit of Women because we believe that knowledge and community support are the keys to wellness. Women also make nearly 80% of all healthcare decisions for their families, and we want those decisions to include The Women’s Hospital.

How can I get involved?
The Women’s Hospital wants to include everyone in the planning and presentation of Spirit of Women in our community: individuals from our community, local media, doctors, nurses, hospital staff, regional businesses, churches and community centers and programs.

For more information on how to get involved with this unique initiative for women’s health, contact The Women’s Hospital Community Education Department at 812/842-4356 or 812/842-4571; or e-mail .

What is the Spirit Membership Program?
We invite you to enjoy the full benefits of the Spirit of Women program by becoming a member of our Spirit Membership Program.
